 DURAKON ASSUMES OPERATIONS OF AMERICAN AFTERMARKET
 LAPEER, Mich., Feb. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- William Webster, president of


Durakon Industries, Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS: DRKN) announced today that Durakon will assume the operations of the American Aftermarket, Inc. warehouse/store locations in the Eastern United States. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
 The East Coast locations will operate under the American Dealer Accessories ("ADA") division of Durakon.
 "We will begin operating the new locations immediately. Operating these locations will allow us to eliminate one step in the distribution process and get closer to the customer", Webster said.
 Durakon is the world's leading producer and distributor of pickup truckbed liners and roll-back car carriers. Headquartered in Lapeer, it also has manufacturing facilities in Clare, Mich. and Greencastle, Pa., and distribution facilities in Texas and California.
