DUP lashes out at staff 'inequality' POLITICS.

THIS autumn's Equality Commission reshuffle must consider unionist concerns, it was claimed yesterday.

First Minister Peter Robinson called the Secretary of State to address the perception that the Commission was totally-biased against his community.

He added: "If we look at the Commission I cannot identify a single person who would share the views of the tens of thousands of people who vote for the main unionist party The name Unionist Party could refer to:
  • Canada:
  • Unionist Party (Canada) of 1917-1920
  • Unionest Party in Saskatchewan in the 1980s
  • Guatemala:
 in Northern Ireland."

Secretary of State Shaun Woodward has to fill four commissioner posts in September and the DUP DUP (in Northern Ireland) Democratic Unionist Party  leader said it was outrageous a mere 34% of staff came from the Protestant community.
