DUP goes on election offensive; STORMONT.The DUP DUP (in Northern Ireland) Democratic Unionist Party launched a preelection offensive yesterday with to persuade unionist doubters it was right to enter Government with Sinn Fein Sinn Fein n. It published Building On Success - a 35-page document that charts the DUP's decision to enter powersharing government and detailed its belief that unionism has become stronger as a result. And in an apparent swipe at hardline opponents in the Traditional Unionist Voice, DUP leader Peter Robinson urged supporters to build on what has been achieved, rather than chasing "unobtainable aspirations aspirations npl → aspiraciones fpl (= ambition); ambición f aspirations npl (= hopes, ambition) → aspirations fpl ". He added: "There is no prospect of a return to the pre-1972 Stormont Parliament, but Northern Ireland's place within the United Kingdom can be strengthened through strong devolved institutions."
