DUNCAN, GLENDALE EDUCATOR.Byline: Jennifer Hamm Staff Writer GLENDALE - Longtime Glendale educator and community activist Charles ``Chuck'' W. Duncan has died. He was 70. Duncan was born in Redding Redding, city (1990 pop. 66,462), seat of Shasta co., N central Calif., on the Sacramento River; inc. 1872. In 1952, he began teaching at Columbus Elementary and later worked as principal at Franklin, Valley View and Keppel elementary schools. Between 1971 and his retirement in 1992, he was a district administrator and served as director of educational planning, as well as director of personnel services. Duncan was also involved in a number of community groups, including Glendale Gateway Kiwanis, Glendale Regional Arts Council and Verdugo Hills Visiting Nurse vis·it·ing nurse n. A registered nurse employed by a public health agency or hospital to promote community health and especially to visit and administer treatment to sick people in their homes. Association.
