DUN & BRADSTREET TO ACQUIRE HARRIS INFOSOURCE INTERNATIONAL.

, NJ) has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Harris Harris, Scotland: see Lewis and Harris.  InfoSource International (Twinsburg, OH), a privately-held company that compiles, maintains and markets a national database of profiles of manufacturers. No terms of the deal were given.

Harris InfoSource was established in 1971 as a state database directory provider. It currently produces directories, CD-ROM CD-ROM: see compact disc.

Company operations for Harris will remain in Ohio.

D&B said the acquisition of Harris will "strengthen the comprehensive suite of D&B's sales and marketing solutions." Harris president Dennis Dennis is a male first name derived from the Greco-Roman name Dionysius meaning "servant of Dionysus", the Thracian god of wine, which is ultimately derived from the Greek Dios (Διος, "of Zeus") combined with Nysos or Nysa (Νυσα), where the  Abrahams said the deal allows his company to "expand and enhance our existing products and services."
