DUKE ENERGY CORP.


DUKE ENERGY CORP., a U.S. energy company, bought a 30% stake in electric company Egenor for US$60 million from the government, making Duke the majority owner of one of Peru s top power generators. The Peruvian government sold the Egenor stake as part of a privatization privatization: see nationalization.
