DUI CHECKPOINT NETS TWO DRIVERS.

A state law enforcement organization whose police officers patrol the public highways.
 officers were out in force Friday night conducting a six-hour, large-scale sobriety checkpoint in Palmdale to protect the safety of motorists and pedestrians.

Two arrests were made for driving under the influence of alcohol after the motorists failed a breath analysis. Their cars were towed.

Officials said that out of the more than 500 cars that passed through the checkpoint, the two arrests were fewer than they had anticipated.

The checkpoint was held on Sierra Highway Sierra Highway is a road in Southern California, United States. It runs from Tunnel Station near the north limit of the City of Los Angeles, where it intersects with San Fernando Road and Foothill Boulevard, as well as Interstate 5, and continues north to Mojave, mostly paralleling  near Avenue Q and lasted from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m.
