, and the power play has been constantly bad.

Nothing has changed in net. Hebert is playing better than ever. Wednesday night he extended his shutout streak to 191 minutes, 47 seconds in a overwhelming 6-1 victory over Nashville before 14,222 at the Pond.

But this year there is finally some power in the Anaheim power play.

Wednesday the Ducks tied a club record with four power play goals - two by Travis Green Travis Vernon Green (born 20 December, 1970 in Castlegar, British Columbia, Canada) is a professional ice hockey centre who currently plays for the Toronto Maple Leafs of the NHL.  and one each by Teemu Selanne and Steve Rucchin Steve Rucchin (born July 4, 1971 Thunder Bay, Ontario) is a centre who currently plays for the Atlanta Thrashers of the National Hockey League.

Rucchin played high school hockey for Sir Frederick Banting Secondary School in London, Ontario.
 - as they continued to surge up the league's power-play rankings and the Western Conference standings.

The Ducks (12-11-6) have won three consecutive games, are 4-0-1 in their last five and moved ahead of Edmonton and Colorado into fourth place in the West.

Anaheim coach Craig Hartsburg Craig Hartsburg (born June 29, 1959 in Stratford, Ontario, Canada) is a retired professional ice hockey defenceman who played ten seasons with the Minnesota North Stars of the National Hockey League from 1979-80 until 1988-89.  said as recently as Tuesday that his team's power play ``still hasn't hit its stride.'' But compared to seasons gone by the Anaheim power play unit is flying high.

Last year the Ducks ranked 24th, converting only 11.7 percent of their opportunities. Coming into Wednesday's game, Anaheim ranked ninth in the league (17.9 percent) and had scored at least one power play in 17 of its 19 previous games.

Defenseman Jamie Pushor got the Ducks started quickly when he scored an even-strength goal on the Ducks' first shot of the night at 3:15 of the first period. Then the power play took over, taking advantage of the Predators, who rank 23rd in penalty killing.

Rucchin and Teemu Selanne combined to make it 18 games in the last 20 with a least one power-play goal at 6:11 of the first. Selanne had a full head of steam going down the right wing, took Rucchin's lead pass, cut to the middle and easily chipped a backhander back·hand

over rookie goalie Tomas Vokoun for his 10th goal of the season.

The Ducks added a club-record three power-play goals in the second period and Selanne added an even-strength goal in the final minute. Paul Kariya assisted on all four goals, setting a team record in the process.

The Ducks scored only four power-play goals in the first nine games this season before Hartsburg moved Kariya to the point position. Anaheim has since scored 25 power-play goals in its last 20 games.
