Colorado 2, Toronto 2: Patrick Roy made 51 saves, including four during a five-second span midway through the third period of the Avalanche's tie at Toronto.

Washington 3, San Jose 3: Peter Bondra's power-play goal with 28 seconds left in the third period, his second of the game, gave the visiting Capitals a tie at San Jose.
