Mighty Ducks is a half-hour Disney animated series aired on ABC and The Disney Afternoon in the fall of 1996. Twenty-six episodes total were produced.

``When we turn pucks over and forecheck we are a very effective team; not many teams can stay with us,'' said Kariya. ``But when we don't we're not a playoff contender.''
