Jeremy Roenick Jeremy Shaffer Roenick (born January 17, 1970 in Boston, Massachusetts) is a professional ice hockey player currently playing for the San Jose Sharks. He has played for the Chicago Blackhawks, Phoenix Coyotes, Philadelphia Flyers, and Los Angeles Kings over the course of 18 NHL  tied a career high with four assists and Michel Petit Michel Petit (born 12 February, 1964, in St. Malo, Quebec, Canada) is a retired professional ice hockey player who played in the National Hockey League from the 1982-83 NHL season to the 1997-98 NHL season. , Keith Tkachuk Keith Matthew Tkachuk (born March 28 1972, in Melrose, Massachusetts) is an American professional ice hockey player in the National Hockey League. He is currently playing left winger for the St. Louis Blues.  and John Slaney scored power-play goals in the first period as Phoenix beat the host Mighty Ducks 6-2 Friday night.

Tkachuk, who led the NHL NHL Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, see there  last season with 52 goals, scored twice to increase his total this season to 18. Cliff Ronning and Rick Tocchet also scored for Phoenix and Jimmy Waite made 30 saves as the Coyotes snapped an eight-game winless streak.

Paul Kariya and Joe Sacco scored third-period goals for the Ducks, who are 1-6-1 in their last eight games and failed to sell out the Pond for the second time in three games since Kariya ended his 32-game holdout hold·out

The Coyotes won for only the second time in 12 games and scored more than three goals for the first time in their last 15.

Their first victory since Dec. 1 came just hours after the Coyotes re-signed holdout defenseman Oleg Tverdovsky in an attempt to bolster a sagging power play that was 4 for 59 in their previous 14 games.

The Coyotes scored all four times they had the man advantage in their first game in Anaheim since losing the seventh and deciding game of their first-round playoff series against the Ducks last April 29.

Jason Marshall was serving a slashing penalty when Petit ended a personal 11-game goal-scoring drought with his first of the season. It came on a one-timer from 40 feet that caromed in off the right leg pad of goaltender Mikhail Shtalenkov about 2-1/2 minutes after the opening faceoff.

Tkachuk made it 2-0 at 10:21 of the period while Sacco was off for interference. The Coyotes' captain stationed himself at the edge of the crease on a one-timer by Roenick and needed two whacks at the rebound to push it past Shtalenkov.
