ANTHONY Daly's Dublin withstood an Offaly rally to take the Walsh Shield title at Banagher.

Alan McCrabbe Alan McCrabbe is a Hurling player for Dublin and Craobh ChiarĂ¡in. Alan won a Dublin Senior Hurling Championship medal with Craobh ChiarĂ¡in in 2006. McCrabbe scored a 1-6 (1-6f) in the final against Ballyboden in a game that finished with the score 2-10 to 2-8.  (0-12) top-scored for the visitors who were deserving winners in a game where they held an edge throughout.

Goals in either half from Brendan Murphy Brendan Murphy is a Aussie Rules player for the Sydney Swans and was a former minor Gaelic Athletic Association player for Carlow. He played for the Carlow minor football team and was on the team that lost the Leinster championship final to Laois in 2007.  kept the hosts in touch, with both scores levelling the contest.

Murphy's 31st minute goal arrived after a Joe Bergin shot came off the upright, to level the tie at 1-08 apiece.

However, Dublin finished strongly with a late McCrabbe score sealing a two-point win.
