 DU PONT'S CONOCO TO REDEEM DEBENTURES
 WILMINGTON, Del., April 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Du Pont (NYSE: DD) said


its subsidiary, Conoco Inc., on June 1 will redeem for optional sinking fund purposes $10 million of 8 7/8 percent debentures due 2001 at 100 percent of the principal plus accrued interest to the redemption date.
 The transfer books will close on April 8 for selection of debentures to be redeemed and will re-open on April 22.
 The paying agent for the redemption will be Bankers Trust Company, P.O. Box 2579 Church Street Station, New York, N.Y. 10008.
