The new SKYPLEX I radio family increases the maximum range up to 100 km, provides remote management and offers a Microsoft(R) Visual Basic(TM) Graphical User Interface graphical user interface (GUI)

These radios, available at speeds of 64, 128, 256 and 512 kbps, are used to provide access links for all types of networks including local carrier, long distance carrier, alternate carrier, cellular carrier and corporate networks.

The SKYPLEX I radios have many trend-setting features including:

-- Doubled Range - The maximum range for the SKYPLEX I radios has

been increased to 100 km. The receiver sensitivity has also

been increased by 3 dBm (e.g., -98 dBm for the 64 kbps), which

reduces the outage time by 50% on a link.

-- Remote Management - SKYPLEX I can be set up via software

interface either locally or remotely. The interfaces are

available using either an ASCII terminal or a Microsoft(R)

Visual Basic(TM) Graphical User Interface (GUI) for the PC,

for ease in maintenance and operation.

-- Improved Calculated MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure) The average time a component works without failure. It is the number of failures divided by the hours under observation.

-- Multiple Built-In DTE (Data Terminating Equipment) A communications device that is the source or destination of signals on a network. It is typically a terminal or computer. Contrast with DCE.
