DSET Begins Shipping Tenth New Product for CLECs.

BRIDGEWATER, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 29, 1999--

The ez911 electronic-bonding solution announced by DSET Corporation (NASDAQ: DSET) today is another gateway that will help to reduce the time necessary to turn on phone services for a CLEC's new customers.

ez911 automates the transfer of relevant customer information from competitive local exchange carriers (CLECs) to a national service bureau that distributes this information among the local databases that facilitate 911 service. These databases provide the name and address associated with a 911 caller's telephone number for the personnel at the Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPS) who respond to 911 calls and then notify fire departments, police departments, or ambulance services as required.

"First, before a CLEC even gets an order, our ezSubscribe family provides solutions that help the CLEC's sales force produce comparative sales quotes in minutes rather than days. And if a prospective customer says `yes,' the potential exists to feed the data into an order management system to avoid retyping as much as 50% of the order. If a CLEC has tens or hundreds of sales reps, the productivity improvements and potential sales gains can be substantial.

"Second, once the CLEC actually gets the order, our ezConnect product family is a suite of electronic-bonding gateways that facilitates the flow of `order forms' for a variety of services among various trading partners. The ez911 gateway is just one of the six gateways we are now shipping to facilitate these business processes.
