DSC Logistics Names Greg Goluska as Vice President, Chief Information Officer.


Goluska to Drive Information Technology Vision for Company

Goluska's career history reflects his strategic-thinking ability, along with a proven track record of successful implementation of complex, large scale IT and business process transformations - including development of global systems and enterprise-wide workflow redesign, and restructuring of corporate-wide, cross-functional organizations. Goluska's extensive international experience includes managing global IT organizations, consolidating European data centers and developing IT strategy support for the merging of two companies headquartered in Japan with manufacturing and distribution in Europe and North America North America, third largest continent (1990 est. pop. 365,000,000), c.9,400,000 sq mi (24,346,000 sq km), the northern of the two continents of the Western Hemisphere. .

Before joining DSC, Goluska was the CIO at Hendrickson International, and prior to that he was CIO of Marconi PLC, where he successfully implemented a global strategy and managed daily operations including all business applications, technical support, data centers, desktops and networking infrastructure. Previously Goluska worked at Motorola for almost 20 years, beginning as a Programmer/Applications Manager, and holding various titles including vice president and CIO for a number of Motorola divisions. He created a Digital Assets Library to collect and house marketing, customer, and product information across his entire company, and developed and implemented a global distribution resource planning Distribution Resource Planning (DRP) is a method used in business administration for planning orders within a supply chain. DRP enables the user to set certain inventory control parameters (like a safety stock) and calculate the time-phased inventory requirements.  system to ship cell phone orders within three hours of receipt. His projects at Motorola received recognition in Fast Company, CIO and Trendscope magazines. He left Motorola as vice president customer support systems, with responsibility for the IT functions of the $22 billion umbrella parent organization where he formulated enterprise strategy for customer-focused systems including customer data, e-business, service and call centers.
