DSC Launches New Supply Chain Visibility Software; Customers benefit from more comprehensive, detailed and timely information.

DSC Logistics, a leading third-party logistics company, is introducing powerful new software that offers DSC's customers enterprise-wide visibility into supply chain operations. The new technology, called Supply Chain Visibility (SCV), heightens DSC's ability to help customers manage change and information in the supply chain.

Using SCV, customers will be able to use any computer connected to the internet to view their critical supply chain information across their entire DSC supply chain. Customers will be able to quickly and easily search and filter virtually any key information relating to orders, inventory or shipments near real time. SCV continuously provides new status updates for this information bearing a date-time stamp. Using SCV, therefore, both the history and current status of any order may be readily accessed by any authorized user.

The new technology is being piloted by three of DSC's customers - Kimberly-Clark, Continental Mills, and Enable Technologies - and is expected to be available in all of DSC's Logistics Centers by early 2002.

A more accurate and timely view of supply chain operations is provided by SCV's combination of three capabilities:

-- SCV's inventory visibility provides a detailed view of the quantity and
status of a customer's SKU's in any given Logistics Center or across all of
their DSC Logistics Centers. SCV may be used to view a specific product across
the network, all of a customer's products by Logistics Center or all their
products in the entire DSC network. Any of the forgoing search results may then
be exported into a speadsheet to allow further analyses.

-- The order visibility feature provides detailed information with respect to
any given order including consignee, requested ship date and latest status.
There are twenty-three possible status updates for any given order including
created, modified, on hold and cancelled. SCV takes the input from multiple
systems within the order cycle process and synchronizes the information to
provide an end-to-end view of the order in process.

-- Shipment visibility enables the customer to monitor shipment events for any
of its orders in the DSC network. Status updates include carrier arrived, order
unloaded (inbounds), order loaded (outbounds), order shipped and order arrived.
