DRYDEN HOSTS AMERICA'S FAVORITE SPACE MOM.

EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE Edwards Air Force Base, U.S. military installation, 301,000 acres (121,805 hectares), S Calif., NE of Lancaster; est. 1933. It is one of the largest air force bases in the United States and has the world's longest runway.  - One of America's favorite TV moms visited NASA's Dryden Flight Research Center The Dryden Flight Research Center (DFRC), located inside Edwards Air Force Base, is an aeronautical research center operated by NASA. June Lockhart, who starred as both Ruth Martin in the long-running ``Lassie'' and as Maureen Robinson in ``Lost In Space,'' spoke to about 150 NASA and Air Force employees in the Dryden auditorium as part of Women's History Month Women's History Month is an annual declared month in the United States that highlights contributions of women to events in history. March is declared Women's History Month.

The annual event traces its beginnings to the first International Women's Day in 1911.

Lockhart is a volunteer ambassador for the California State Parks This is a list of state parks and reserves in the California state park system.
