Adv. 1. shot late last week said Wednesday that they had complained for months to sheriff's deputies that they suspected he was dealing drugs. A law enforcement source said investigators suspect that a gang conflict involving drugs was the source of the violence that left Michael Carter, 47, dead Friday and a 12-year-old girl wounded by gunfire. Carter lived in the 45400 block of Sancroft Avenue. His death was the fifth fatal shooting in Lancaster in a five-day period, and the Antelope antelope, name applied to a large number of hoofed, ruminant mammals of the cattle family (Bovidae), which also includes the sheep and goats. A neighbor who asked not to be identified said he complained to officers at the Lancaster sheriff's station about two months ago about heavy traffic at all hours of the day and night. The neighbor expressed frustration that sheriff's deputies didn't respond to the complaints. ``The whole neighborhood reported it,'' the neighbor said. ``What hurts me is these people shot an innocent 12-year-old girl and it's sad because (sheriff's officials) knew about it and they didn't come.'' Lancaster gang detail Sgt. Derek Yoshino said he could not comment on the Carter case, but he confirmed that his force has identified multiple gangs operating in the neighborhood.
