DRS subsidiary awarded additional $1.5 million contract for navy Combat Display Emulators.

)("DRS") announced today that its DRS Technology Applications & Service Company subsidiary in Gaithersburg, Md. has received a $1.5 million contract award from the U.S. Navy's Naval Surface Warfare Center Noun 1.  to provide additional Combat Display Emulators for land-based applications.

This award is the result of the exercise of an option on an existing, multiple-year contract with a not-to-exceed value of approximately $37 million received by DRS in Feb. 1994. To date, approximately $16.4 million has been released to the company on this program, including this latest award.

The company's Combat Display Emulators are operationally compatible display consoles that simulate the Navy's shipboard ship·board
