) for use with AH-1F Cobra helicopters.

These systems will be used by the U.S. Army National Guard and the Aviation Classified Repair Depots.

The MPBE system is a portable, ground-support device that aligns an aircraft's navigation, targeting and weapon systems with the pilot's sighting gear to ensure accuracy in securing targets. This system will allow the Army to boresight the AH-1F Cobra helicopter, as it does the Marine Corps AH-1W Cobra, with the same common equipment. In addition to its deployment on the Army and the Marine Corps Cobra, DRS' MPBE system also is used on the Army's AH-64A AH-64A Apache Attack Helicopter, A Version  Apache and Apache Longbow longbow

Mark S. Newman, chairman, president and chief executive officer of DRS, commented: "The MPBE system provides our military combat aircraft customers with an important, common boresight system capability, significantly reducing procurement costs, maintenance costs and aircraft down time. This unique system contributes to improved weapons performance, while eliminating the need for new product development and customized solutions. Its versatility for multiple-aircraft, tri-service application demonstrates DRS' continuing leadership position in electro-optical alignment technology and our commitment to actively support the growing weapon sighting systems market."
