Work for this contract will be performed by the company's DRS Test & Energy Management unit in Huntsville, Alabama. For this award, DRS will produce quantities of unique line items of DSESTS spares to include circuit card assemblies, modules, adapters and cable assemblies. Product deliveries are expected to be completed by April, 2005.

DRS produces a variety of automatic test equipment (ATE) designed for diagnosing electronic components installed on U.S. Marine Corps Light Armored Vehicles (LAVs), as well as Army M1A1, M1A2 and M1A2 SEP Abrams Main Battle Tanks and Bradley M2/M3 Fighting Vehicle Systems. Presently, DSESTS systems are used at 89 locations in the U.S. with several other systems located throughout the world. DRS is in the process of developing new, state-of-the-art, third generation Army automatic test equipment. The new test sets are expected to reduce test development time, increase testing efficiency, improve data logging capability and reduce overall support costs, improving the capability to test Abrams and Bradley line replaceable units (LRUs).
