For this award, DRS Technologies, a leading supplier of TEMPEST computer equipment, is teamed with the Systems Division of Tenix Defence Systems Pty. Ltd. in Mawson Lakes, South Australia Mawson Lakes is a suburb and new residential development approximately 12km north of the CBD of Adelaide, South Australia. It was previously known as The Levels, and as such was non-residential, housing a campus of the University of South Australia and Technology Park. , to supply systems incorporating Tenix's Interactive Link Multiple Computer Switch technology. The company's DRS Advanced Programs unit in Columbia, Maryland Columbia is a census-designated place and planned community in Howard County, Maryland, United States. DRS has delivered thousands of TEMPEST computer workstations, servers and other peripheral equipment to a variety of U.S. and international government customers under previously awarded programs and has been a systems integrator for the U.S. government for over 30 years. These high-performance systems are designed specifically for a variety of unique government applications.

The Tenix secure switching device provides multi-level system security in support of military command and control processes and allows information to be shared across varying levels of security. System options include 15- and 18-inch TEMPEST LCD flat panel displays A thin display screen for computer and TV usage. The first flat panels appeared on laptop computers in the mid-1980s, and the LCD technology became the standard. Stand-alone LCD screens became available for desktop computers in the mid-1990s and exceeded sales of CRTs for the first time , 17-inch TEMPEST monitors and TEMPEST Hewlett-Packard 4050 printers.
