The work for this contract will be accomplished by the company's Night Vision Systems, Inc. business unit in Allentown, Pennsylvania and Prescott Valley, Arizona Prescott Valley is a town in Yavapai County, Arizona, United States. The population was 23,535 at the 2000 census. Prescott Valley was the seventh fastest-growing place among all cities and towns in Arizona between 1990 and 2000. . This five-year Indefinite Delivery/ Indefinite Quantity contract has an initial, and minimum base-year funding of $3.4 million. DRS will provide the DSCC with combat identification devices, night vision systems, handheld and weapon-mounted thermal imaging systems, and lasers for aiming, pointing and illuminating.

Some of the products included in the contract include: the MX2A, a handheld and ruggedized thermal imager only weighing approximately two pounds and used by military commands and law enforcement agencies A law enforcement agency (LEA) is a term used to describe any agency which enforces the law. This may be a local or state police, federal agencies such as the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) or the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).  for patrolling and surveillance operations; the 4-power (4X) and 6-power (6X) Raptor, a night vision product that can be mounted on almost any weapon and designed for long range accuracy; the GCP-2C, a weapon aiming device that may be used at ranges of up to 12 kilometers; and GloTape combat identification devices.

DRS' Night Vision Systems has provided these and other products and systems for military units, government organizations and law enforcement agencies for more than 30 years to enhance their surveillance, target acquisition and security missions; to assist in the accurate and silent firing of small arms; and to prevent fratricide frat·ri·cide
