DRS Technologies Names Robert C. Atwell Vice President, Marketing - Army Programs.

ASE is a comprehensive and robust data management product with a long history dating back to the late 1980s. : DRS) announced today that Robert C. Atwell has joined the company as vice president, marketing - Army programs.

Mr. Atwell is a senior manager with experience in defense-related program management and marketing. Before joining DRS, Mr. Atwell was director of the RTM322 program at Rolls-Royce North America Rolls-Royce North America is a subsidiary of Rolls-Royce plc involved principally in the manufacture of gas turbine engines and other propulsion systems.

The most significant part of Rolls-Royce North America is Rolls-Royce Corporation
, Inc., a unit of Rolls-Royce plc. (LSE LSE - Language Sensitive Editor : RR), where he was responsible for the management, performance and cost of the integration of this new turbo-shaft engine for the British Army's WAH-64 Longbow Apache helicopter. In this position, he also developed regional marketing strategies focused on the Pacific Rim.

Mr. Atwell has 28 years of experience with the U.S. Army, concluding his military career as the program manager for the ACAT-ID (Acquisition Category I Defense Acquisition Board) program for the AH-64D AH-64D Apache Attack Helicopter, D version, with Longbow radar improvements  Longbow Apache helicopter at Headquarters, U.S. Army Aviation and Troop Command (ATCOM) in St. Louis, Missouri.
