The $9.2 million contract was awarded to DRS by the Special & Naval Shipbuilding Division of Hyundai Heavy Industries Co. Ltd. For this contract, DRS will design, build and test a FODMS system to ensure interoperability between legacy systems and the latest Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS)-based systems. Work will include the development of design documentation and installation drawings, as well as the installation and performance testing of the system. Under the contract, DRS also will provide operation and maintenance training to Hyundai and ROKN personnel.
