DRS Technologies Awarded $31 Million U.S. Army Contract to Provide Joint Tactical Terminals; Contract Valued at $194 Million over Five Years.

) announced today that it has been competitively awarded a $31 million contract, representing initial funding on a contract valued at $194 million over the next five years, to provide Joint Tactical Terminals (JTTs) under the U.S. Army's Joint Tactical Terminal-Integrated Broadcast Service (JTT-IBS) program. The JTTs will provide war fighters throughout the armed services with near real-time tactical intelligence and targeting information.

) contract was awarded to DRS by the U.S. Army's Communications and Electronics Command (CECOM CECOM Communications Electronics Command (US Army)
CECOM National Center for Communications of the Civil Protection Agency
) in Fort Monmouth, New Jersey. Product deliveries will commence in nine months.

Our domain knowledge in communications receiver, transmitter and data link systems provides a solid foundation for successful delivery of the JTTs."
