Cockrill said it was not immediately known whether Christensen lost control of her car while she was trying to change lanes or the car malfunctioned. At 3:55 a.m., Salvatore Adragna, a 53-year-old pedestrian from Ventura, was killed when he was hit by a northbound big rig when he tried to cross the freeway north of Ventu Park Road.
