DRIVE TIME: MOTORING: Ready to pedal for charity.
STAFF at Kia Cars UK have formed a 47-strong team for the London to Brighton Bike Ride this Sunday.
True to their groundbreaking Think Before You Drive policy, the Kia team are taking to two-wheeled transport on the 58-mile route from Clapham Common to Brighton seafront in aid of the British Heart Foundation.
Paul Carter, team captain and head of press and PR, said: "It seemed appropriate that as Kia encourages people to utilise alternative means of transport when practical, that we actually take to our bikes and support our co-partners in the Walking The Way To Health scheme, the British Heart Foundation. I'm not so sure whether my enthusiasm is going to last the full 58-miles though!"
What started off with five Kia employees in the Bike Ride soon snowballed into the team of 47.
The group comprises 22 Kia employees, 14 agency staff and seven leading motoring journalists.
