DRILLING COMMENCES ON HERITAGE'S LAURA CLAIMS, CRESCENT VALLEY, NEVADA

 VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Dec. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- The directors of Heritage Petroleums Inc. ("Heritage") (VSE: HER.V) are pleased to announce that a drill rig is being mobilized at this time and drilling will commence Wednesday, Dec. 8 on the Laura Claims, Crescent Valley, Nev. The Laura Claims are well situated within 800 metres of the Cortez's (Placer Dome/Kennecott) Pixie deposit. This initial drilling will encompass five or six holes and total 3,000 to 3,500 feet. Assay results will be announced when received, approximately mid-January, 1994.
 Heritage owns a 100 percent interest in three groups of mining properties totalling 96 claims and encompassing approximately 1700 acres located in the Battle Mountain Trend. The Cross Claims are bordered by Homestake to the north and Newmont to the south. The Tree and Band Claims adjoin the recent gold discovery by the consortium of Hemlo Gold and Gold Giant Minerals.
