Early life

"These are adult men doing drugs and breaking the law."

Drew, who shot to fame as the girl who befriended the alien in ET, fought drug and drink addiction in her early teens.

But she has no sympathy for Oscar nominated Chaplin star Downey, 32, and True Romance's Slater, 29.

"I was a 13-year-old girl who was experimenting, so it was different for me," she claimed.

Downey is serving six months in Los Angeles County Jail for breaching parole after a series of drug-linked arrests.

Slater got 90 days in a much softer jail in La Verne, California La Verne is a city in Los Angeles County, California, United States. The population was 31,638 at the 2000 census.

The history of this area dates back to the 1830s when Don Palomares received a 15,000 acre (61 km)
