DRESSER NAMES GEORGE JUETTEN VICE PRESIDENT

 DALLAS, March 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Dresser Industries, Inc. (NYSE: DI) chairman and chief executive officer, John J. Murphy, announced today the appointment, effective April 30, of George H. Juetten as vice president and controller of the company. Mr. Juetten will report to Bill D. St. John, Dresser's vice chairman.
 Mr. Murphy noted "We are pleased to have attracted Mr. Juetten to Dresser. We have valued his contribution as the company's outside auditor. His experience and skills will be important to Dresser as we continue to grow."
 Mr. Juetten, 45, joins Dresser from Price Waterhouse where he has been a partner since 1980. He has been the engagement partner responsible for the Dresser audit since 1990. Prior to that, Mr. Juetten was a partner in Price Waterhouse's Indianapolis and Milwaukee offices and served a tour of duty at the firm's office in The Hague. He graduated from Marquette University with a B.S. in Accounting and currently serves on the University's Business School Advisory Council.
 Mr. Juetten replaces James J. Corboy, who has served as Dresser's senior vice president - accounting and tax since 1985. Mr. Corboy will remain senior vice president of the company until his retirement within the next year.
