it takes to make a successful Web presence. This is why we have our own TV show called ``Tech Guys TV'' where we consult and answer everyday computer problems people may have live on the air at no cost to them. We educate the viewers and we enjoy doing it.

IS THIS YOUR FIRST BUSINESS? Yes

WHY DID YOU START THIS BUSINESS? I got tired of seeing clients getting ripped RiPPED are an alternative rock band from Burlington, Ontario, Canada on Sextant Records/EMI Distribution. The band formed in 1994, and were originally called "Ripped Emotions".  off by dot-com companies An organization that offers its services exclusively on the Internet, either via the user's Web browser or a client program that must be installed in the user's computer.  enough, I have and I still am. To get what you want should not cost an arm and a leg. My corporation brings quality work for a reasonable price for both the client and our company. But it doesn't stop there. We also educate our clients by providing seminars, free consultations, our own local access weekly TV show and much more.

WHERE DID YOU GET THE IDEA? I got the idea in college, while I was driving home and listening to AM radio about how the Internet market was doing so poorly.

HOW LONG WAS IT FROM CONCEPT TO OPENING? Two-and-a-half to three years.

WHAT DID YOU DO DURING THAT TIME? I monitored other companies to see how they were doing so we could do the complete opposite if they weren't doing well. We also prepared our first Web site that was around 1,200 pages.

WHAT WERE YOUR STARTUP COSTS AND HOW DID YOU FINANCE THE BUSINESS? To finance the business I worked two jobs, and I easily spent at least 90 hours a week working without sleep to develop our main site, which at its prime ended up being worth $60,000 back when flash sites were new. I refused to take a loan because I had the mentality men·tal·i·ty

that if I took a loan I would be starting my business with a negative figure, or in other words Adv. 1. in other words - otherwise stated; "in other words, we are broke"

, a loss. So I decided to save and invest in what I could to launch my dream, my dream machine.

WHO DID YOU RELY ON FOR ADVICE? At a young age I was always interested in business, and I always wanted to be my own boss. Besides my parents' knowledge and wonderful advice, I would also like to hear the advice of professionals and experts that actually ran multimillion-dollar companies. So what I would do was ask my dad to drive me to different seminars in town so I could hear how businessmen and salesmen talk, and going from seminar to seminar, I ended up picking up ideas and learning from other people's mistakes.

WHAT HADN'T YOU CONSIDERED BEFORE OPENING? I never thought how fast this company would get up on its feet and how big this really might get.

WHAT IS YOUR EXPECTED REVENUE THIS YEAR? $180,000 this year, $250,000 in 2005.

WHAT GOALS DO YOU HAVE FOR THE COMPANY? I'm aiming to dominate the industry one city at a time and hopefully get big enough to go public, while giving the clients what they want: excellent service for a fair price.
