Estate agent Tony Filice is used to finding the good in every property he sells. Lake. 'As an estate agent I may be biased but in my opinion, this is the cream of Cardiff in terms of location,' said Tony, 42, a partner in the Kelvin Francis Estate Agency. 'I was born in Cathays Terrace but I've always wanted to live by the lake - it was something I've aspired to for many years. 'We moved in 12 years ago. It wasn't a great time for buying because interest rates were high but the location was good and because it was a wee bit rundown we got a good price on it.' Tony and his wife Loredana's initial investment was worth it. Now they enjoy a view which changes everyday of the year and a location which is perfect for all the members of their family. 'We're less than five minutes from my office here, and there are plenty of excellent local amenities and good schools nearby,' added Tony. 'You can easily walk into town from here and you couldn't buy the view.' And the Filices' four-year-old daughter Sara certainly benefits from having a huge park and plenty of wildlife on her doorstep. Their house was built in the 1930s and boasts four bedrooms, two bathrooms, three receptions, generously high ceilings and a balcony at the front of the house where they can sit and enjoy views of the lake.
