He has worked hard at learning the position because he didn't play there until junior high. Now, he has a reputation of being one of the hardest hitters his coaches have seen. The other linebacker is more serious about his sport and more natural at the position, having played it longer. But their friendship does not run deep. They haven't had a lot of time for friendship, attending rival schools as they do. Lately, they've been getting ready to lead their defenses into the season.
