The tough-talking Scots entrepreneur and the singer have struck up a friendship after Peter's separation from the glamour girl.

Dragons' Den star Duncan, 60, has been giving Peter advice and told him he will back him all the way as he battles to keep access to his kids.

The 36-year-old Aussie singer has been devastated since splitting from Jordan - real name Katie Price.

And he's been left furious over pictures of 31-year-old Jordan's new love Alex Reid playing with his son Junior.

A source close to Peter said: "Duncan has been a tower of strength. Like Peter, he's a family man and he understands.

"Peter has a particular bond with Duncan because he's a father too."

The pair first met at the London marathon in April. They keep in touch by text and Twitter.

Duncan tweeted earlier this month to tell Peter: "Stay focused on Junior and the kids and ignore the other issues as much as you can."
