Dragons 27 Connacht 14 DRAGONS overcame a hesitant start to defeat fellow strugglers Connacht in a poor Magners League match at Rodney Parade Redevelopment
On September 4 2007 it was announced that Rodney Parade is due to be redeveloped into a 15,000 capacity ground by the beginning of the 2010 season.[1]
 yesterday.

The home side took the lead after 35 minutes with a James Arlidge penalty before Joe Bearman scored from a lineout.

Fionn Carr replied in the second half for Connacht after being set up by Ian Keatley who also converted.

But Rhodri Gomer-Davies drove over and Rhys Thomas Rhys Thomas may refer to:
  • Rhys Thomas (Welsh rugby player born 1904) Welsh rugby union player 1920's
  • Rhys Thomas (Welsh prop born 1982) Wales rugby union international prop forward 2007
 then scored near the posts.

Arlidge converted both and added another penalty but Connacht had the last word when Keith Matthews scored with Keatley converting..
