DR Systems Named "Best in KLAS" for 2006.

SAN DIEGO -- KLAS[R] has recognized DR Systems as the highest scoring vendor across all healthcare informatics categories covered in this year's Top 20: 2006 Best in KLAS report.

DR Systems was also the leading PACS vendor for 2006. The company was rated ahead of all other PACS providers including Philips, Dynamic Imaging, McKesson, Fuji, GE Medical Systems, Siemens, Agfa, and Amicas.

KLAS Enterprises, LLC is a prominent research and consulting firm that specializes in monitoring and reporting the performance of healthcare information technology vendors, including picture archiving and communication systems (PACS) companies. The annual KLAS award "signifies leadership in working with customers to resolve issues and match expectations to reality."

More than 10,000 healthcare executives, managers, and clinicians contributed feedback for the KLAS report. The respondents represented more than 4,500 hospitals and 2,500 clinics.

In addition to its overall top ranking, DR Systems led in several other categories for PACS vendors, including "Technology Easy to Implement/Support" and "Works as Promoted." The company tied for first in the category "Keeps Promises." DR Systems' highest rated area on the report was "Implementation within Budget."

DR Systems also ranked tops in the KLAS PACS performance evaluation, with respondents rating the company first, second, or third on 39 of the 40 questions in the evaluation. The company scored first on 29 of the questions, compared to five for the next closest vendor.
