DPT Is RAIDing The Station.Distributed Processing Technology released its new RAIDstation7 Ultra2 SCSI Storage Array, which is shipping to distribution customers worldwide. It incorporates new Ultra2 SCSJ SCSJ Southern Coalition for Social Justice and LVD See LVDS. LVD - Low Voltage Differential technology, yielding significant gains in performance and configurability. The storage array is certified compatible with all DPT SmartRAID V Ultra2 SCSI RAID controllers and host adapters. Ultra2 SCSI doubles the maximum data throughput rate between the disk controller and disk drive to 80MB/sec per channel from the previous generation SCSI's 40MB/sec. LVD technology allows long cable lengths between the host system and disk drives--up to 10 meters--freeing designers to configure systems using all SCSI IDs with data integrity. Ultra SCSI gave system designers no flexibility due to the cable length restriction of 1.5 meters using five or more drives. In addition, these restrictions did not allow designers to utilize SCSI's fifteen IDs per channel without the aid of expensive SCSI SCSI in full Small Computer System Interface Once common standard for connecting peripheral devices (disks, modems, printers, etc.) to small and medium-sized computers. SCSI has given way to faster standards, such as Firewire and USB. extenders. The array is available in tower (DPT-RS/7U2) or 19-inch rackmount (DPTRS/7U2R U2R U-2 Reconnaissance aircraft U2R User to Root ) versions at an MSRP MSRP Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price MSRP Message Session Relay Protocol MSRP Multi-Species Recovery Plan (US Fish & Wildlife Service) MSRP Member of the Society for Radiological Protection (UK) of $3,325. |
