DPS TELECOM UNVEILS T/MON SLIM CENTRALIZED ALARM MONITORING.

Networks as small as 3 to 15 remote sites can now benefit from centralized alarm monitoring, thanks to T/Mon SLIM, the new telemetry alarm system from DPS Telecom.

T/Mon SLIM consolidates alarms from multiple sites, multiple devices and multiple protocols on one monitoring screen, just like a large, full-featured alarm master -- but T/Mon SLIM is a light-capacity 1 RU device that any small company can afford.

T/Mon SLIM creates a fundamental shift in how independent telcos and other small companies can monitor their telecom networks, according to DPS Telecom CEO Bob Berry.

"Before T/Mon SLIM, small networks had just two monitoring options: Buy a big, expensive alarm system that's overkill for your needs, or depend on a scattered collection of small RTUs reporting to individual pagers. With T/Mon SLIM, even companies with a very limited budget can bring all their alarms from all network sources on one screen," said Berry.

T/Mon SLIM's centralized, one-screen monitoring delivers big benefits to small network managers. With T/Mon SLIM, you can:

-- Know absolutely for certain whether there's trouble anywhere in your network, because every alarm from every remote site is on one screen

-- Monitor a wide variety of equipment: telecom switches, fiber optic, SONET, microwave radios, servers, multiplexers, DPS RTUs -- and the legacy RTUs you already have

-- Monitor alarms in over 20 telemetry protocols, including SNMP, TL1, MODBUS, ASCII, TABS, TBOS and many legacy proprietary protocols

-- Monitor up to 64 individual network devices

-- Monitor up to 10,000 alarm points

-- Keep a central database of pager contacts and automatically schedule alarms from any remote site to any contact -- ensuring that shift changes and holidays don't disrupt alarm monitoring

-- Use T/Mon SLIM's built-in Web server (with optional Secure Sockets Layer encryption) to view alarms from your whole network from any computer anywhere

-- Keep a centralized alarm log for your whole network and analyze historical data to isolate the root cause of recurring problems, identify network weak spots and anticipate future problems
