Under the agreement, DPL Energy will be the energy provider of choice for the Indiana Farm Bureau and its membership, supplying natural gas and other energy services. This announcement comes on the heels of DPL and the Ohio Farm Bureau renewing their eight-year relationship.

"We chose DPL Energy because of the experience they have meeting the needs of agricultural customers," explained Mike Baise of the Division of Agricultural Development and Natural Resources for the Indiana Farm Bureau. "They have a strong track record of delivering value to the Ohio Farm Bureau and I'm sure they will do the same for our members."

The Indiana Farm Bureau has represented Hoosier farmers since 1919 and is now the largest agricultural organization in Indiana with more than 272,000 members. It provides its members with a number of value-added services A value-added service (VAS) is a telecommunications industry term for non-core services or, in short, all services beyond standard voice calls and fax transmissions.  that include insurance, accounting, education, and now natural gas through DPL Energy.

DPL has been active in the gas marketing business since 1986 and currently manages approximately 25,000,000 Mcf (thousand cubic feet) of natural gas annually. Marketing under the name DPL Energy, it also offers customers a variety of energy services that include energy management and power monitoring.
