:DPL) announced today that it will release its second quarter 2001 earnings results on Wednesday, August 1, 2001 prior to the opening of the financial markets.

In conjunction with the earnings release DPL will conduct a webcast conference call with financial analysts on August 1, 2001 at 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time, which will provide an overview of financial results for the quarter followed by a question and answer session.
