DPL Energy to Host Second ``Insights on Energy'' Forum.DAYTON, Ohio Dayton is a city in southwestern Ohio, United States. It is the county seat and largest city of Montgomery County. As of the 2005 census estimate, the population of Dayton was 158,873. -- DPL (Digital PowerLine) An earlier technology for transmitting a 1 Mbps data signal over electric power lines from Nortel Networks. It was developed in the late 1990s, but later abandoned due to implementation difficulties. See broadband over power lines. Energy, a subsidiary of DPL Inc. (NYSE NYSE See: New York Stock Exchange :DPL), will host its second "Insights on Energy" forum, an informational seminar updating governments and businesses on the changing energy environment. Two sessions will be held at Sinclair Community College, Building 12. The first will be for government officials on October 20th from 12 noon to 5:00 p.m. and will include lunch. The second session will be for business executives on October 21st from 7:30 a.m. to 12 noon and will include a breakfast buffet. The forum will feature experts from a number of organizations, including DP&L, PJM PJM Pacific Journal of Mathematics PJM Project Manager PJM Puerto Jimenez, Costa Rica (Airport code) PJM Pennsylvania New Jersey Maryland Interconnection LLC (Mid-Atlantic region power pool) , ProLiance, and McNees, Wallace & Nurick, representatives of Industrial Energy Users -- Ohio. Specific speakers and topics include: --Dona Seger-Lawson, DP&L: An Explanation of the Standard Offer through 2008. --Kerry Stroup, PJM: DP&L's Integration into PJM and What it Means to Customers. --Dean Steele, ProLiance: Factors to Consider in a Retail Energy Offer. --Sam Randazzo, Partner at McNees, Wallace & Nurick: An Update on the Current and Future Status of Ohio Electric Deregulation Deregulation The reduction or elimination of government power in a particular industry, usually enacted to create more competition within the industry. Notes: Traditional areas that have been deregulated are the telephone and airline industries. . A panel discussion will follow the formal remarks with ample time for questions. Business customers are encouraged to bring recent usage and demand data for a DPL Energy workshop covering load factor, rate structure and shopping credits.
