For the summer, DPL customer demand has been within 10% of the all time peak on 16 days. Temperatures in July were 46% hotter than last year and 31% hotter than normal. Recent temperatures have topped 90 degrees.

DPL recently completed its four-year generation expansion program, which added 1,488 megawatts (MW) of peaking capacity. These additions, when combined with DPL's coal fired generation, allow The Company to meet its retail customer demand and continue to sell into the wholesale market.

DPL's all-time peak demand of 3,130 MW was set on July 30, 1999 when the temperature reached 101 degrees.
