After conducting an engineering study and physical inspection of the substation, DPL rebuilt 3,000 feet of underground cable, increased capacity on two circuits, upgraded three additional circuits, rebuilt poles and cross arms, and added a number of lightning arresters to protect the equipment. "Reliability is a top priority for us," said Pat Swanke, DP&L Vice President. "On an ongoing basis, we examine the system to determine where we can strengthen reliability for our customers.
