The Intelligent Hygiene management system ("i-Hygiene") wirelessly monitors compliance to corporate hand washing/hygiene policies. The i-Hygiene system uses an embedded Airborne(TM) Wireless LAN Node Module for WiFi compliant 802.11b wireless communication technology, and personnel badges equipped with radio frequency identification See RFID.  (RFID (Radio Frequency IDentification) A data collection technology that uses electronic tags for storing data. The tag, also known as an "electronic label," "transponder" or "code plate," is made up of an RFID chip attached to an antenna. ) technology. Once installed, the i-Hygiene system wirelessly monitors compliance of those personnel wearing the i-Hygiene RFID employee badges. Airborne's built-in web-server enables compliance information to be easily transmitted to remote monitoring or data gathering servers via the Internet. This provides enterprise-wide hygiene compliance monitoring information in real-time.

i-Hygiene is a "turn-key" system that installs easily and is ideally suited for the Food Services food services Hospital services A 24/7 department in a hospital that provides for the nutritional needs of inpatients–eg, those needing special diets, preparing meals and transporting them to the floor and, through the cafeteria, the hospital staff and , Food Processing, and Medical industries.
