DOWNLOADS TIMED FOR RELEASE OF DVDS CINEMANOW, DISNEY TO OFFER FILM FARE.Byline: GREG HERNANDEZ Staff Writer CinemaNow Inc. will announce today a partnership with Disney's Buena Vista Home Entertainment that will enable consumers to legally download certain movie titles they can own instead of rent. The movies -- beginning with the basketball drama ``Glory Road'' on Tuesday -- will be available for downloading the same day they debut on DVD DVD: see digital versatile disc. While they can be moved from computer to certain portable devices for unlimited play, they will not be able to be played on a regular DVD player A stand-alone device that plays DVDs. DVD players are cabled to a TV or home theater system for display. . ``Disney picked us to be the first company to launch with. It's a real nice vote of confidence and we take it real seriously,'' CinemaNow President Bruce Eisen said Tuesday. ``We are very nimble, very flexible, and able to move fast and make things happen.''
