DOW AGROSCIENCES TO DISPLAY VINTAGE JOHN DEERE TRACTOR.

Dow AgroSciences, Indianapolis, unveiled a vintage John Deere tractor April 30 during a ceremony at its headquarters. Purchased in 1953, the tractor was the third capital expense item for The Dow Chemical Company's agriculture business, which later became Dow AgroSciences.

"A tractor may be a relatively common sight, but a vintage John Deere 40 parked in the lobby of a corporate headquarters is not," says Dow AgroSciences CEO A. Charles Fischer. "For us, this tractor symbolizes Dow AgroSciences' long-term commitment to agricultural research."
