DOUGHERTY'S HOPES FADE IN COLOGNE; GOLF.


A SECOND round slump of four over par leaves Liverpool's Nick Dougherty Nick Dougherty (born in Bootle, Merseyside on 24 May 1982) is an English golfer. He is a protégé of Nick Faldo and had an exceptional amateur career with numerous tournament wins including the 1999 World Boys Championship and three in Faldo Junior Series events.  10 shots adrift in the Mercedes-Benz Championship There are two tournaments in men's professional golf called the Mercedes-Benz Championship

A first round score of three under put Dougherty just four strokes off the leader on day one but his hopes of a second German win this year have now been dashed.
