Linder and Slotnick are both glad for the opportunity to play together again this year and have enjoyed both success and each other's company. ``We have so much fun,'' Linder said. ``Even during the finals, we were laughing and having a good time.'' Slotnick said she had no trouble switching partners to play with Linder during her junior year. ``It was real easy playing together,'' Slotnick said. ``We've worked well together since the beginning.'' The beginning came about with Wood's decision to move Linder to doubles after she played No. 3 singles her sophomore year. She admitted the switch was tough, but playing with Slotnick has made it enjoyable. ``It's hilarious,'' she said. ``We're such good friends.'' Linder and Slotnick weren't a part of that match, but with two teams seeded in the top eight and a third team entered in the tournament, some of the best competition they face could come from fellow Highlanders. ``You don't want to play your own teammates,'' said Slotnick. ``If that's how it has to be, then that's fine with me.''
